We had to pull on our robes and mortar board again recently following a repeat order from one of our clients during work at a local university. Having completed passive fire protection to the linear gaps around the lift entrances on a previous order, our client asked us to return and improve the shaft integrity by installing fire board to the top and also incorporating a batt and mastic solution to gaps left during the original build in previous years.

Adding the board and batt improved the fire integrity of the shaft, and allowed the client to complete their project with sign off and certification.
